Step 1: Get Your Writing Out There

Everyone has a story to tell.
They may do so with words or music.
They may stray from the traditional with art or dance.
And others tell their stories by helping others, by inventing new machines, by raising children, by spending hours trying to find the perfect quote.
The ways we can tell our stories are as innumerable as the stories we have to tell.
Here I will start telling mine.

So here we are, at the very beginning of a brand new blog.  I know what you're thinking, this is my third blog that I've started so what's the likelihood that it's going to last?  Here I will tell you that it will last because I'm going to make it work.  Please hold me to that.  Messages reminding me to write and post are both welcome and appreciated.

For the remainder of this semester I will be posting every Thursday and as my school and work schedules change my posting day will change with it.  But for now, Thursday.

Something I have realized is that, at least for me, practicing my writing isn't enough.  I need to know that someone is going to see it or it just won't happen and if it does it won't be good.  So I will be posting some of my writing here.  I'm going to start with some writing prompts and see where this takes me, I don't want it to be too specific so it can change and grow as I do.

Here's where you come in, lovely reader: I need some prompts!  Of course the internet is full of writing prompts so I'm sure I can and will find many, but I would prefer prompts from you.
Your prompts can come in the form of questions, sentences to include, objects to revolve around, etc. Basically anything you like and I will writing either a fiction or non-fiction piece around it.

So... I guess you'll be hearing from me in two days.

<3 Ellen
