Children of Blood and Bone / Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi

I tried to write one of my regular reviews of these books, but I couldn't. The world doesn't need more thoughts from white voices, all I can do is lift Black voices.

These books contain stories of resistance, of facing hate and cruelty and finding joy in life even as the world around them is dark. These books contain hope and love and joy and victory and defeat, stories we have ignored for far too long when they don't come from white faces and voices. 

Black Lives Matter. And as we fight for their lives, we must also support those lives. Find the Black creators and businesses around you, buy their products, spread their messages, begin to pay back all the harm we have allowed to happen as we have stood by in silence. 

Read these books, and others that tell us the stories we have tried to ignore. Be better, and expect the same from those around you.
