The Rest of 2020
2020 was a wild year for everyone, but let me tell you a bit about the last few months of my year as a sort of explanation of why I haven't been posting so much. In September my older sister Annie was diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic cancer, because of this the last three months of 2020 were spent split between trying to feel as normal as possible and doing all I could to help my sister and her family. I basically worked, slept, and took care of our new puppy that we got in October. Three months and five days after her original diagnosis, Annie passed away two days before I finished quarantining so I could go in and be with her and her family without fear. This isn't going to be a long post. I haven't figured out how to live in a world without my sister in it, but I'm working on it. I will do my best to return to writing my book reviews, but I can't say for sure when or how consistent they will be. Annie taught me how to be creative in a world that often does...
